To experience the magic of Longwood Gardens’ Christmas displays, plan your visit on a Member Monday or the week between Christmas and New Year’s. The gardens are open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and admission is just $2 for PA Access members.
You can also take a tour of the gardens, which is open rain or shine. A Longwood Gardens Christmas event is sure to delight both adults and kids.
You’ll also have the chance to dine in Longwood’s 1906 restaurant. The restaurant, named after the year Pierre du Pont purchased the Peirce farm, serves three-course prix-fixe menus that incorporate locally-sourced seasonal ingredients. Reservations are required, so make sure to make your reservations early.
If you have young children, the Longwood Garden Railway is a great way to keep them entertained. The Garden Railway has been running for 20 years and features dozens of miniature trains and locomotives that run through the park.
Thomas the Tank Engine and realistic models of the buildings of Longwood Gardens are also part of the display. The Garden Railway is open daily (weather permitting) and runs during the Garden’s operating hours.
